She is the founder of Leeds Writers and Poets, a writing critique group which offer supportive and constructive feedback for local writers.

Her hobbies include walking the barkmachine, doing yoga at ungodly hours, taking photos of funghi from odd angles, failing to learn German, singing and playing piano, and meditating.
